Torey Lovullo, born July 25, 1965, in Santa Monica, California, is the manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks, a position he has held since 2016. He is a former MLB infielder and veteran coach with previous roles at the Cleveland Indians, Toronto Blue Jays, and Boston Red Sox.

Lovullo played college baseball at UCLA, where he was twice named Pac-10 Player of the Year and earned All-American honors. Drafted by the Detroit Tigers in 1987, he played in parts of eight MLB seasons between 1988 and 1999 for seven teams. His most active year came in 1993 with the Angels. He also played one season in Japan with the Yakult Swallows and had an extensive minor league career, totaling 1,433 games.

Lovullo began coaching in the Cleveland Guardians’ system in 2001, managing various minor league clubs through 2010. He later served on the Toronto Blue Jays’ coaching staff and as the Boston Red Sox bench coach under John Farrell from 2013 to 2016. In 2015, Lovullo was interim manager while Farrell received cancer treatment, posting a 28–20 record.

Lovullo was named manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks in November 2016. In his first season, the team won 93 games and advanced to the NL Division Series. For this turnaround, Lovullo was named the 2017 National League Manager of the Year. He has since received multiple contract extensions and managed the team through both rebuilding years and playoff appearances, including a trip to the 2023 World Series.

Lovullo has three children and is married to Kristen Burwell, whom he met while both worked with the Buffalo Bisons. His father, Sam Lovullo, was a television producer known for the show Hee Haw. Lovullo has ties to Buffalo, New York, and remains active in both the baseball and local community.
